This is Bob's new home on the Internet. Other than creating this new
website, what else has Bob been doing lately? Currently he serves as secretary of the
University of Southern California (USC)
Retired Faculty Association (RFA) Board of Directors
and is working to make
minutes of all board meetings available on this
website. As an officer of the RFA, he serves on the RFA Executive Committee and also its
Strategic Vision Committee. He is the RFA's representative to the
USC Staff Retirement Association (SRA) Board
of Directors. Also at USC, he serves on the Executive Committee of the
Emeriti Center and has become a representative of
retired faculty on a working group creating a university-wide database of faculty records. He also
serves as a member of the Board of Councilors of the USC University Club at King Stoops Hall.
In the community, Bob was recently a member of a "Futures Council"
of the Covina-Valley Unified School
District. The council was a focus group dealing with issues such as school facilities and
student retention. He continues to participate in Covina-Valley USD activities when asked. In
July 2012 he testifed at a public hearing of the
Covina City Council dealing with the city's
lighting district and a new property assessment. (There is even a
video recording of his appearance before the city council on
this website!) Update: Even though Bob voted for the proposal, it
ultimately failed. See the short (56 second) video on his WordPress
Blog.

brief biography and his more detailed academic
résumé, respectively, using either these links or
those in the menu above.
