Welcome to RobertStallings.net! 😀

Are you interested in what Bob has been doing lately?  If so, here is an overview.  (For more detailed information, check out his biography.  His academic career is described in his curriculum vita).

Until recently, Bob served as President of the University of Southern California (USC) Retired Faculty Association (RFA) and Chair of its Executive Committee.  For several years, he was the RFA's representative to the USC Staff Retirement Association (SRA) Board of Directors.  Also at USC, he served on the Executive Committee of the Emeriti Center.  He also represented retired faculty as a member of a working group designing a university-wide database of faculty records.  In 2012–2013, he served as a member of the Board of Councilors of the USC University Club.

In the community, Bob was a member of a "Futures Council" for the Covina-Valley Unified School District.  The council was a focus group dealing with issues such as school facilities and student retention.  In July 2012, he testifed at a public hearing of the Covina City Council dealing with the city's lighting district and a new property assessment.  (There is even a video recording on Vimeo of his appearance before the city council.)  Even though Bob voted for the proposal, it ultimately failed.  See the short (56 second) video on Vimeo of the final vote by clicking here.
